Annie Lukowski Biography

Lukowski takes her comedy seriously and exploits the wild west of the web for new avenues of storytelling. With Leyna Juliet Weber, the female duo founded the production company WorkingBug.com to create comedic web originals. Speaking to a sophisticated viewer, Annie exposes the comedy of drama, and she never forgets a classy fart joke.

Lukowski took a serious plunge into web content production in 2008. She is the co-creator and director of the acclaimed webseries Road to the Altar with Jaleel White (Urkel, Family Matters). Road received praise from CBS’s Entertainment Tonight, to NBC’s Extra, and The Huffington Post. Her second webseries, Random Comedies included guest stars Michael Urie (Ugly Betty), Kym Whitley (Curb Your Enthusiasm), David A. Arnold (Meet the Browns), and Randall Park (Dinner for Schmucks). It exploded on FunnyOrDie and won “User’s Pick” and their weekly Facebook fan poll. Recently, Annie collaborated with Eric Stonestreet (ABC’s Modern Family) for the webseries, Divorcees.

Annie earned her MFA at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, winning a Student Emmy for producing the comedy pilot, Cost of Living. She began her Hollywood career on set with In the Bedroom. Then Annie worked in the art department on Wonder Woman, Big Fish, and Ladykillers, and was the production designer on the indie feature God’s Waiting List. Next she directed the award-winning music video, In My Head. Annie has worked at DreamWorks Marketing, development at Cheyenne Enterprises (Bruce Willis), and Liberman/Patton and Francine Maisler Casting.

By remaining in a constant creative frenzy, Annie has moved from one collaboration to the next. She is currently releasing A Series of Unfortunate People (with New Orleans Saint, Darren Sharper) in an exclusive partnership with premier destination platform, Dailymotion.com. A sense of humor and a brazen appetite for unexplored territories continue to propel her daily work.
